Cosmo Klein & The Campers
Cosmo Klein is a well-known face in the German funk and soul scene. The Berlin-based artist can now look back on a career spanning more than 20 years. His initial breakthrough came with the single "All I ever need", followed two years later by another hit with the duet "Das alles ändert nichts daran" with Maya Saban - both times landing in the top 20 of the German charts. The corset of the German pop industry quickly became too tight for him. A decision in favour of his musical freedom. This was followed by numerous successes in various scenes such as the dance hits "Beautiful Lie" and "Feel Alive", two celebrated soul & jazz albums "Let's Work" & "Kingdom on Fire", collaborations with the most influential instrumentalists on the German scene, songwriting assignments for pop singers and the cinema as well as tours through more than 15 countries.
As a producer, composer and songwriter, Klein travelled through Germany during the pandemic in his Cosmobile, a camper van converted into a recording studio. The result - to mark the 20th anniversary of his debut album "This is my Time" - is his 5th album "SOULFICTION" - a musical road trip with a very special atmosphere.
But Cosmo is a multi-talented musician who is particularly impressive with his spectacular live shows - which have become legendary. Together with his septet, he brings the perfect blend of jazz and soul influences paired with the glittering era of disco sounds à la Chic and Earth, Wind & Fire to the stage. Stylistically rooted in the great icons such as Prince, Marvin Gaye and James Brown, yet with a fresh sound all of his own. Authentic, modern and timeless at the same time. Groove guarantee included. Music that gets straight to your feet and causes a real sensation.
