Churches

Discover Rottweil’s churches in its historical town centre. The main catholic church, which was elevated to cathedral status in 1950, has been restored in a high-quality Gothic and Renaissance style. The Gothic chapel tower risesn above the roofs of Rottweil, but the church was rebuilt in baroque style between 1727 and 1733. A former Dominican monastery church, the Prediger church has been Rottweil's Protestant town church for over 200 years.
